Weekly Target Post.

WEEKLY TARGET POST:

After receiving Feedback from the First Draft, I have decided changing some aspects of the Magazine; in order for the Magazine to look professional.
My targets for this are another photo shoot that will take place throughout the course of this week. . In the photo shoot the models will be wearing different outfits, to show the genre of the Magazine. In order for the Magazine to look professional, the Rule of Thirds, The Golden Spiral etc. will be used to fit the requirements that will make a good Magazine (especially the Double Page Spread).

This Weeks Work Post.

Over the next three lessons, we will be evaluating existing Magazine Covers, Contents and Double Page Spreads and marking them. Also, we will be evaluating two of our Peers Magazines. One coinciding with the same genre as me and one where they are basing their Magazine on a completely different genre.

This will give me the experience of marking other peoples work and gives me the sense of how our work will be marked.

Reflection Post.

Throughout this week, I have learnt new things which were:

  • Having a more solid understanding of getting to grips with Photo Shop. I am able to complete the basic tasks in order for my Magazine to look good.
  • Have a more clearer understanding of what I want my Magazine to look like and contents of it.
  • How to create an attractive and dynamic Magazine Cover, one of which I will make amendments to.

Draft-Double Page Spread.

For the Double Page Spread, my perception has continuously changed throughout making this. There were aspects of this that didn't appeal to me at all, however I went through with it anyway as I will receive feedback in how to improve on this.

Evidence of my perception changing is the change of location of the image. It was initially place in the centre of the DPS, however the Interview wouldn't fit so I had to change it to the bottom right hand corner in order for the whole of the Interview to fit.

To improve, I will utilise the space more effectively and ensure that the DPS has the 'proper' look that all successful Magazines hold. Also, I will make sure that the columns of the Interview are more align with each other and size of the image will be enlarged.
